By downloading, installing, or using FileScope ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software. You must be at least 16 years old to purchase or use FileScope.
Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use FileScope on up to 3 personal devices owned by you.
A "Lifetime" license means you receive all future updates of FileScope at no additional cost.

We generally do not offer refunds after purchase. We encourage you to review the features and system requirements before buying.
If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive. However, by downloading or accessing the Software, you acknowledge and consent that the supply of digital content begins immediately, and you therefore waive your 14-day right of withdrawal. You will be asked to provide this consent during the purchase process.

FileScope, its name, logo, and all associated materials are the intellectual property of FileScope. Your purchase grants a license to use the Software, not ownership of the Software itself.

FileScope is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that:
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any warranty or liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FileScope and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Software.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FileScope and its developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Software.
FileScope may automatically check for updates via GitHub Releases. Updates are optional but recommended. We reserve the right to modify features in future updates while maintaining core functionality.
Your license is perpetual unless terminated. We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must uninstall and destroy all copies of the Software.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of FileScope after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal remedies.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
